Contributions to Richard Cook for Congress are not tax deductible as charitable donations for federal income tax purposes. An individual may contribute up to $4,600 per election cycle ($2,300 for the primary and $2,300 for the general). Qualified PACs may contribute $5,000 per election. Contributions from corporations and foreign nationals are prohibited. Federal election law requires political committees to use their best efforts to collect and report the name, mailing address, occupation, and name of employer for each individual whose contributions aggregate in excess of $200 per election cycle.
